How It Works!

Granular activated charcoal works to remove moisture and odours through a process called adsorption. Adsorption is the process where molecules adhere to the surface of a solid substance.

Here's how it works:

Surface Area: Granular activated charcoal has a large surface area with countless microscopic pores. These pores provide ample space for molecules to attach to.

Adsorption: When air passes through the granular activated charcoal, odour molecules and moisture are attracted to its surface due to the strong electrostatic forces. The molecules become attached to the surface of the charcoal pores.

Trapping: Once the odour molecules and moisture are adsorbed onto the charcoal surface, they become trapped within the pores, preventing them from being released back into the air.

Neutralization: As the odour molecules and moisture are trapped, they are effectively neutralized, resulting in fresher, cleaner air.

Overall, granular activated charcoal effectively removes moisture and odours by adsorbing them onto its surface, trapping them within its pores, and neutralizing them. This makes it an excellent natural solution for improving air quality in various environments.

Great Product so happy to find

Have now purchased 8 slim and 2 of the bigger ones. In my walk in robe, bathroom and drawers and purchased 4 for our caravan when it arrives!! No more mould and no musty smell. Love them. Take them out for a sunbathe once a month.

Brilliant so far

I’ve got a secondhand car from a guy that smoked A LOT in it. I have tried everything but on hot days it still seems to linger back in the car. I’ve only had 21 captains in there for a week and it seems to be making a difference already, we’ll see how it is in a few months and I will give another update

The Slim - Air Refiner

So great I had to buy more.

I originally bout 2 of the OG for our bedrooms and 2 of the slims for our cars. As I live in FNQ it is constantly damp due to rain and humidity. No more damp smells. Recently bought more for our car fridges and other rooms in the house. Alec & Sasha keep up the awesome work!

This product is incredible.
We have a strong unpleasant smell in the laundry area caused by the drain. Tried multiple commercial products to no avail. 24hrs in the laundry and the 21Captains has removed all the smell. This is a big winner for us!! Well done.
